Hi, my name is Marco, the founder and lead guide at eXplore Mountain Bike Adventures. For almost two decades the trails, hidden valleys and dramatic coastline of the Algarve has been my office. 

Many years of off road guiding has given me an unparalleled deep knowledge of the Algarve's unique landscape. I have spent thousands of hours mapping, navigating and building trails in the region.

eXplore Mountain Bike Adventures was created after my time working as a guide for another successful cycling company came to an end as it was eventually sold. I found myself at a crossroads and realised two things: I wasn't done riding, and I wasn't done sharing the epic tracks & trails of the Algarve.

With a professional & mature approach I believe I can offer an unmatched depth of local knowledge, and expertise that cannot be found on a GPS, map or trail app

Over many years I have built reliable and trustworthy partnerships with other small businesses, cafes and accommodation in the area, this enables us to offer a high quality, authentic and unforgettable experience for all our guests.
